How you'll make a difference

As part of an expanding team, you will be helping to deliver projects and provide administrative support to project delivery teams who oversee the provision of transport within South Gloucestershire and wider area, improving people’s lives and the environment. Through the City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement, South Gloucestershire has secured £100m in funding to decarbonise transport, promote a shift from cars to public transport, walking and cycling and drive growth and productivity through investment in infrastructure.

A hybrid working model is in place: the team have flexible working arrangements where you can work from home, with occasional office based working as required, or can be office based, depending on your personal preference.

What will you be doing

•You will undertake distinct work packages, monitor the outcomes and outputs and complete project reports, you will also aid in the preparation and delivery of reports and presentations.
•In this role you will help to manage correspondence across a number of projects, arrange and attend meetings and workshops, draft agendas, record detailed minutes and carry out relevant follow-up work.
•On a daily basis you will perform tasks to support the operation of the Project Management Office to support other divisions and teams with transport related projects.

What we need from you

•You will hold a degree in a relevant subject or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
•It is essential you understand how project management methodologies are applied, both accurately and effectively on all projects.
•You must be able to establish good working relationships with Project Managers, Project Sponsors, peers, suppliers and stakeholders.
•You should be able to undertake and demonstrate Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to keep abreast of changes in working practices.
