TfGM oversees transport in Greater Manchester, delivering and improving transport services, facilities and information to make travel easier for everyone. We deliver high-profile, large-scale transport projects, and it’s our experts who provide the information and analysis to shape transport strategy. This is a busy and exciting time for us: under the devolution agreement and with Greater Manchester at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse, transport will play a vital role in supporting growth and prosperity in the UK’s largest regional economy outside London.

We are seeking an Appraisal Team Leader to join our Modelling and Analysis department, to lead and develop a team undertaking strategy and scheme assessments across areas such as public transport patronage and revenue forecasting; value for money economic appraisal for major schemes; social, environment and economic impact analysis; and fares policy analysis.

You will be a strategic thinker with an awareness of modelling techniques, travel data, appraisal techniques and industry processes, who is able to communicate technical outputs to non-technical audiences. You will also have experience in leading and managing internal teams and external consultants.
