At Midlands Connect, we think differently. We’re looking for enthusiastic and creative transport planners and economists to join our ambitious team as we take the Midlands’ transport priorities into the next decade.

As the Sub-National Transport Body (STB) for the Midlands, we are developing the next regional plan which aims to boost economic growth for our population of more than ten million, whilst at the same time reducing transport’s part in the climate emergency. We are growing our team as we put ourselves at the forefront of solving this industry-defining question.

With only seven STBs across the whole of England, this is a rare opportunity to have a leading role in the development of the next regional transport strategy.

You will lead on the development of all our economic evidence and narrative, to support the strategy and its component parts.

Your job will be to quantify and articulate the benefits of our strategy and projects to a wide audience.

Ideally, in addition to experience in transport economics and modelling, you will also have broad appreciation of the role transport plays in the wider economy.
