We are currently looking for a Commercial Operations Manager for The O2 to be the solution provider and point of contact for The O2 Contract. The individual will be responsible for the complete account management of the contract and ensuring the teams in place are providing a high standard of service to the four key customers: client, CSP, reporting team and incoming customers.

This role is based at The O2, North Greenwich however will at times require travel to the CSP Head Office.

With your ambition and drive for excellence, you will find yourself with various responsibilities such as: 

  • Account management of The O2 contract; this involves but is not limited to managing the P&L, turnover and identifying new opportunities for business growth.

  • Operational planning, on site delivery and post event conclusion; work closely with the venue operations team to ensure all requirements are established and resources provided, on time and to budget, and provide an integrated service.

  • Provide Line Management for The CSP Operations Team at The O2, with development programmes to ensure growth of their skills and experience. Training and development of staff on site (CCTV, online booking, stewarding, valeting, car parking).

  • Work with CSP’s HR department in recruitment, training and the ongoing employment relations of the staff.

  • Work with CSP’s Resourcing department with accurate scheduling and staff selection.

  • Maintain a consistent quality service delivery – including leading on the production and achievement of Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements.

  • Budget Management & Financial Reporting;
    • accountable for the delivery of the P&L,
    • analysis of car park plans and development of commercial strategies,
    • conduct monthly meetings with team to track financial performance,
    • daily and weekly tracking of budgets.

  • Analyse historical data and develop new tariff/operational strategies to increase efficiency and for cost savings.

  • Conduct regular KPI and SLA performance management assessments with the client, agreeing action plans for improvement as necessary, and ensuring remedies are found and solutions actioned.

  • Identify new revenue opportunities within The O2 and surrounding areas.

  • Providing excellent customer service for clients, visitors, external agencies and internal customers, through meticulous planning, staff training, briefing, and implementation of procedures & best practice.

  • Work with the Quality Services Manager ensuring that the Venue Operations Manual is up to-date and includes comprehensive set of Assignment Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures that accurately reflect the duties carried out by the Company.

  • Ensure that all operational activities comply with relevant legislation e.g. Health & Safety at Work Act, Data Protection Act and appropriate Environmental legislation.

  • As required, other Management responsibilities and special projects.

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience in leading, managing and developing people.

  • Previous experience in car park/traffic management (desirable)

  • Understanding of providing a multi-service delivery to clients.

  • Proficient in the use of TSRGD and the Traffic signs manual

  • Valid UK driving licence

  • Valid SIA Licence

  • IOSH or NEBOSH certificate (Minimum of IOSH Managing safely)

  • Ability to prioritise, be proactive, take the initiative and work to deadlines.

  • Evaluate conflicting priorities and be able to drive forward solutions to multiple challenges being presented for resolution in the same timeframe.

  • Strong commercial awareness.

  • Articulate and the ability to communicate with clients, managers and team members at all levels

  • Professional, committed, reliable and trustworthy.

  • A team-player and experienced in effectively managing a team.

  • Strong IT skills – proficient in Word, Outlook & Excel.

  • Strong character and outgoing personality, whilst being calm and collected.

  • Highly presentable.
