TfN is looking to recruit the following role:
Infrastructure Development Lead in TfN’s Strategic Rail, Investment Planning team.

Northern Powerhouse Rail (NPR) is a major strategic rail programme, designed to transform connectivity between the key economic centres of the North. The programme promises radical changes in service patterns and target journey times. Northern Powerhouse Rail would link the North’s six main cities and Manchester Airport, as well as other significant economic centres.

The Infrastructure Development Lead will act as an intelligent client for TfN’s role as Co-Sponsor in support of the NPR/IRP programme, ensuring that the design and development of the NPR programme meets the needs of TfN’s partners, various stakeholders and the strategic aims of the Strategic Transport Plan. In the role you will help ensure TfN meets it’s co-sponsorship objectives and identify opportunities to integrate to other major rail programmes, backed with the rigor of technical knowledge and research.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring partner and stakeholder engagement across multi discipline programmes of work, influencing continuous improvement and implementing an appropriate toolkit to manage actions, risks and decisions.

What we’re looking for:
The successful candidate will have proven experience in the technical development and delivery of major rail infrastructure programmes. You will possess previous experience of working in partnership with the Department for Transport, Network Rail and other national agencies to deliver similar programmes or studies.

With proven experience of successful transport investment and policy development and implementation; you will also possess the ability to influence and persuade governance bodies, stakeholders, partners, clients and suppliers to understand the aims, objectives and requirements of the Partnership.
