Do you have experience of people management, research, collating data, producing reports and working on policies and strategies? Do you have knowledge of the transport (or a similar operational) sector? If so, we want to hear from you! Our Transport team are looking for an experienced Strategy Manager to become part of a reliable and efficient team on a fixed term contract, covering for maternity leave.

About you…
As the Transport Strategy Manager you will need to have the following;
• Educated to degree level or equivalent (NVQ Level 5)
• Experienced people manager
• Experience of report writing in a similar field
• Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to work to deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Experienced in working with a wide range of clients

About the role…
As the Transport Strategy Manager you will lead in the implementation, monitoring and review of the Council’s Local Transport Plan, Sustainable Travel Statement, Sustainable Modes of Travel to School strategy and other policies relating to sustainable travel.
Other duties will include;
• Line Manage the Road Safety Education Officer, Sustainable Travel Officer and cycle instructors.
• Support in developing wider transport and highway policies, plans and strategies.
• Manage the budgets and any contracts relating to sustainable travel, road safety education.

The Transport Strategy Manager interviews will be held week commencing 6th June 2022.
