Transport and Infrastructure Officer

Cambridgeshire County Council

Cambridgeshire County Council

Transport and Infrastructure Officer

Salary: £25,694 - £25,894

CD: 27/03/2017

Cambridgeshire is an extremely popular place to work and live with a successful economy. The rate of new jobs created, the scale of business innovation and inward investment, development pressures and demand for new homes, have all contributed to a remarkably strong Cambridge sub-region. However growth in Cambridgeshire is not evenly distributed with some parts of the County having weaker local economies, lower incomes, rural isolation and limited infrastructure.

Transport planning has a key role in helping to address some of these challenges and Cambridgeshire County Council is now looking to appoint two Transport & Infrastructure Officers to support our strategy work in this area.

In this exciting role you will be responsible for developing and supporting transport and infrastructure policies, strategies and programmes for Cambridgeshire, including the Local Transport Plan and Long Term Transport Strategy, as well as district wide strategies for Huntingdonshire and Fenland.

You will also support the delivery of key corporate and partner priorities, including those set out in:

The Greater Cambridge City Deal,
The Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Strategic Economic Plan, and
The District and City Council’s Local Plans.

We expect to hold interviews on Tuesday 4th April 2017.

For any informal enquiries about the role please contact James Barwise on 01223 703522.
