SENIOR TRANSPORT PLANNER / ENGINEER
Our client is a highly successful, international, multi-discipline consultant with a wide range of projects spread throughout the Middle East. Their transportation division is extremely busy, and as a result now require an experienced Senior Transport Planner / Engineer with broad transport planning experience for their office Bahrain.
Applicants must meet the following criteria as a minimum :-
1) Have an engineering degree qualification and, ideally, a relevant M.Sc in transportation.
2) Have gained broad experience in transport planning, some of which will have been spent in the Middle East.
3) Have at least 10 years, post graduate, relevant experience, preferably with engineering consultancies.
(4) Good Master Planning experience.
(5) City-wide operational analysis experience.
(6) Pedestrian and Cycle accessibility and analysis.
(7) A good understanding of modelling techniques, and able to undertake SYNCHRO, SIDRA and HCS analysis. You do not have to be a full time, hands-on modeller, but you must be able to analyse and interpret the results/outputs.
(8) Able to undertake client workshops and meetings.
(9) Fluency in English, and the ability to write good quality reports.
(10) Good, client presentation skills.
Although this position is based in Bahrain, most of the project work is predominately from Kuwait, and will therefore involve short, periodic client visits to that country.
The tax free salary package, which will include salary, accommodation and transportation allowances combined, is negotiable. Air flights and medical will be provided in addition.
