Job Title: Principal Transport Policy Officer
Salary: £38,052 (point 42)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week
Base: Beverley. East Riding of Yorkshire

We seek a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the Strategic Transport Team.

You will:
• play a key role in developing bids to secure funding for new highway and transport schemes
• oversee the council’s existing £130m capital programme of major transport projects
• prepare local transport policy and strategy and liaise closely with key stakeholders including Transport for the North, Highways England and train operating companies.

The workload is varied and dynamic, and alongside the management of the transport/highways capital programme, you will be involved in feasibility, scheme development and planning future work programmes.
