Carpenter joins Intelligent Data

Intelligent Data has appointed Paul Carpenter as a business development manager in the South of England. Carpenter was formerly a principal engineer at consultant WSP Group and a business development manager at Advanced Transport Research. 

Dalton joins Kent 

Brian Dalton has been appointed a principal transport planner at Kent County Council. He previously worked for Sheffield City Council on cycle scheme delivery.

Nestrans appoints new officers

Ruth Milne has joined Nestrans, the North East Scotland regional transport partnership, as cycling development officer, a position supported by Sustrans. Nicola Laird has joined Nestrans as a transport executive (graduate).

New directors for Stuart Michael Assoc. 

Mark Smyth, Dave Wiseman, and Martin Ohrland have been appointed directors of Thatcham-based consulting engineers Stuart Michael Associates Ltd, which specialises in planning and design for residential, retail, commercial, health and leisure developments.

Stagecoach bus appointments

Stagecoach Merseyide and South Lancashire has strengthened its Liverpool management team with the appointment of Alex Crane as operations manager and Neil Bolton as engineering manager. Matthew Arnold has been appointed commercial director of Stagecoach’s Kent and East Sussex operations. Previously commercial manager at Arriva Southern Counties, he joined Stagecoach as business development manager earlier this year following a spell with Kent independent, Go-Coach. Stagecoach East Scotland’s managing director Andrew Jarvis is leaving the company. A recruitment process is underway and, in the interim, the business will be overseen by Robert Andrew, Stagecoach’s regional director for Scotland, with Jon Oakey, the company’s Scottish regional finance manager serving as acting general manager.

Richards is ORR’s rail performance chief

Graham Richards has been appointed director, railway performance and planning at the Office of Rail and Road. He has been serving as the interim director since the departure of the previous incumbent.

TfL board members for beyond London 

TfL board members Greg Clark CBE and Alice Maynard CBE have been chosen to represent the interests of those living, working and studying in areas outside Greater London who use rail passenger services operated by TfL.
