We are seeking an innovative and outwardly-looking senior transport manager who can harness and manage relationships to drive widespread change in the way we deliver public transport services in North Yorkshire.
As one of three senior managers within the Integrated Passenger Transport service, you will be at the forefront of developing transport capacity, working closely with the commercial sector to deliver improved public transport across the county. This will involve finding innovative ways to reduce the reliance on subsidies, increasing customer choice, and playing an instrumental role in identifying opportunities to shape the growth of the commercial transport sector in the County.
Managing a small team of specialist business development professionals, you’ll support and promote a strong, results-driven and customer-focused performance culture ensuring the provision of cost-effective, efficient and high quality services. Driving innovation, you’ll develop strategies and initiatives through marketing and promotion techniques in close partnership with operators and other stakeholders.
We are looking for an inspiring commercial manager able to develop external relationships and joint ventures with the intention of generating income. You must also be comfortable in leading complex negotiations while maintaining an overview on the impact and implications of future procurement strategies.
