An opportunity has become available within Merseytravel’s Bus Development team; this key role is an integral part of the team that is responsible for the design and development of the Liverpool City Region supported bus network, bus capital programme and planning as a result of disruption, including events

The successful candidate will be directly responsible for a specific area within the Liverpool City Region and act as a primary point of contact for all bus operators and other key stakeholders regarding Bus.

This is an exciting time for the Bus Team, working closely with stakeholders and driving improvements to the network both in design and infrastructure to improve the Bus offer, encouraging fare paying patronage growth with the ambition of making Bus ‘ a mode of choice’.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of service delivery, time and resource management skills and an ability to prioritise. It is essential that you have proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills that can be demonstrated through your ability to build and manage robust and effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Knowledge of the transport industry and transport regulatory legislation is essential for this role, with knowledge of the transport network in the Liverpool City Region desirable.

The successful candidate will be based in No 1 Mann Island, Liverpool.
