About the role
Wiltshire Council has a successful track record over many years in delivering innovative Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) schemes across the county. As part of the new National Bus Strategy, we bid for and were successful, in being grant funded £1.2m to enhance an existing DRT scheme in the Pewsey Vale.
We are seeking an innovative and visionary candidate who can manage the implementation of this community led scheme, and use the lessons learnt to further develop other DRT schemes that are either already in existence, or, yet to be fully identified.
You will work in the operational public and home to school transport team and have strategic links to the new National Bus Strategy Manager contributing to other key outcomes of the business such as carbon net zero, future high streets fund and transport planning. Working as part of a team is essential as is budget and project management.
