We have an approved and substantial list of pipeline schemes for housing, transport and economic development. Our Local Plan has been adopted which will deliver 8,100 new homes and 164 hectares of employment land and we recently launched our new Housing Strategy and ambitious Economic Growth Plan. We are also in the process of implementing three Town Centre masterplans, a new Shakespeare North Playhouse, Halsnead Garden Village and five further sustainable urban extension sites having secured over £42m of Combined Authority Single Investment Fund projects to be delivered over the next two years.

In addition to our core services such as Highways we have recently established a Major Development Team to provide an enhanced service and dedicated resource to key investors and developers to accelerate the delivery of housing and economic growth schemes, to develop innovative solutions that secure delivery whilst proactively helping developers to bring forward stalled schemes.

We are now recruiting into the following posts across the Major Development Team and Highways Service (all applicants will be considered for both posts unless a specific preference is stated):

Principal Engineer x2 (1x Highways Team and 1x Major Development Team) Salary up to £35,229 per annum (Reference CVP 567)
