We are looking for an experienced Traffic & Parking Engineer, able to work quickly and efficiently across a portfolio of projects with minimal supervision. You will have excellent knowledge of the latest approaches & technical standards which apply to managing road space and parking. You also have an awareness of the vital role such schemes plays in achieving wider transport policy objectives. Educated to degree/HND level (or equivalent qualification/experience), you will be able to skilfully communicate your knowledge and point of view to colleagues, developers, elected councillors and the public through written reports and verbal presentations. Above all you will be passionate about working collaboratively as part of an innovative team to develop the highway network in Hounslow to achieve our challenging targets to improve safety and facilitate increases in sustainable travel modes.

1. To develop, implement and monitor traffic & parking management projects
2. Write reports and present these to senior decision makers
3. Support development of junior staff
1. Proven ICT skills, preferably in relevant applications such as AutoCAD, PARKMAP or general GIS packages.
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills
3. Management/coaching experience

Minimum HND/degree/comparable qualification or commensurate experience.
