We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead CPRE’s campaigning on infrastructure. With the UK’s infrastructure pipeline now exceeding £500 billion and the National Infrastructure Commission set to publish the UK’s first long-term National Infrastructure Assessment in 2018, there has never been a better opportunity to influence how infrastructure interacts with the countryside. Our work ranges from promoting opportunities for renewable energy and sustainable travel that minimise impacts on the countryside, to minimising demand for energy and transport.
Working within our influential and respected Campaigns and Policy Department, you will feel confident communicating with different audiences, whether Parliamentarians, senior officials or local campaigners - whether through face to face meetings, or using social and traditional media. You will be able to develop innovative means to influence key decision makers as well as the wider public. With either experience of working with volunteers or having volunteered yourself, you will be able to motivate people to campaign effectively.
This role will suit those with a policy background but who are also looking to develop their communications and/or campaigning skills and experience further. Demonstrable experience and interest in environmental, transport or energy issues will be essential. You should have a flexible approach and be happy multi-tasking.
