We have two entry-level vacancies in the traffic and transport team. We are seeking either recent graduates with a relevant first degree/masters qualification, or candidates with equivalent relevant experience in project management, transport planning, behaviour change or data analysis. You will have a broad knowledge of the transport planning context in London, the tenets of good highway and public realm design and some of the challenges associated with managing competing demands for road space. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will be confident meeting and dealing with the public. You have the ability to work on a wide range of projects quickly and efficiently with minimal supervision. Above all you will be self-motivated and interested in joining an innovative team which is committed to developing Hounslow's transport network and achieving our challenging targets to improve safety and facilitate increases in sustainable travel modes.

In return we offer clear career progression linked to achievement of targets, opportunities for further continuing professional development (the borough is a member of the Transport Planning Society and provides support to those seeking to gain TPP qualification) and first class flexible working opportunities. Starting salary will be either £22,000, £24,500 or £27,000, depending on experience.
