Strategic Planning & Growth
Our Strategic Planning and Growth Division are looking for seasoned professionals to join our multi-disciplinary team dealing with the development of planning, infrastructure and transportation strategy and their integration with development opportunities.
As a Thames Gateway borough, Bexley is used to managing change. However, the Council is now planning for the prospect of significant housing and employment growth, as well as the supporting infrastructure investment. The Council is embracing the challenge of accommodating this growth whilst enhancing its overall character. You will help shape the future of the borough through the strategy for growth and associated documents, plans and policies.
You will be a seasoned professional holding a degree in Town Planning, Transport Planning or a related discipline, with experience of strategic spatial planning and working to deliver significant growth. You will have a good understanding of infrastructure issues in the round, including CIL mechanisms and how requirements from social infrastructure to major fixed infrastructure (eg transport) need to be met to support growth. To facilitate production of the infrastructure strategy and related proposals, you and your team will help develop links and cultivate good working relationships with a range of key internal and external partners.
