We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in management, traffic engineering and delivering high quality services in the highway sector. Working as part of the Schemes and Delivery Team your role will be making the highway safer for all, tackling congestion and assisting in supporting growth.

You will be responsible for managing a team of 7+ project managers / engineers investigating, designing and delivering quality, cost effective and community supported highway improvement schemes.

We are looking for a motivated person with proven experience of successfully managing people and capital works programmes.

You will need to demonstrate the ability to manage and monitor significant budgets (£2m+) and have experience of commissioning and managing consultants.

We work as a whole-council, putting our customers at the heart of everything we do so you will need to be able to demonstrate that you are customer focused.

In this role, you will be required to work with multi-disciplinary internal teams and with our external partners and stakeholders, so excellent interpersonal, communication skills and a can-do attitude are essential.
