Highway Development Control Manager (Highways and Development Control) – Post Ref: EV258
Salary: P09 – PO12, £36,379 - £39,177 per annum, 37 hours per week, permanent

Calderdale are looking to recruit an experienced Highway Development Control Manager to lead in the provision of a high quality, cost effective and efficient Highway Development Control service.

 

The role will involve planning and monitoring the work of the team to ensure that work is carried out to agreed timescales and quality. Working alongside internal/external clients to assess the transport and highways elements of proposed developments, ensuring there is no detrimental impact on the road network in terms of traffic flows/capacity; road safety; parking; environmental impact; sustainability; and accessibility.

Applications will be considered from those who hold a degree in a relevant area or who have equivalent work-related experience. It is essential that applicants can demonstrate a working knowledge of national and regional policy, operational, design and assessment standards as well as negotiate with developers and their agents on transport related mitigating measures.
