Are you experienced at running a multi-disciplinary team? Are you good at working closely with members of the public? Do you have a good depth of knowledge in Highway maintenance and operations activity?
An opportunity has arisen to manage Oxfordshire County Councils southern area office responsible for routine and reactive maintenance covering all highway activity including traffic, Public Rights of Way and Trees.
The team are also the first point of call for public enquires, local councillors and parish/town councils.
You will be responsible for ensuring the network is operating safely through routine and reactive inspections, along with managing reactive and planned works. You will be supported by three main teams within area operations (south) relating to traffic, inspections, and highway & drainage specialists.
• Traffic - signs & lines maintenance, public enquires, and minor traffic schemes
• Inspections – road, utility, trees, and Public rights of Way, all including managing reactive maintenance and public enquires
• Highway & Drainage specialists – programming and managing planned maintenance works.
