Senior Engineer Highway Development
(level 11) – £33,136 to £36,153

This is an exciting opportunity to develop in this role within the council’s Transport Policy and Planning Team. The post will enable the holder to play a key role in advising on highway matters relating to planning applications.

We are looking for an ambitious person who can demonstrate a depth of knowledge and understanding of transport planning policies and issues. You should also have a breadth of knowledge in the areas of highway development control, transport planning, traffic engineering or highway design.

You will have suitable experience and qualifications and be able to work with internal and external stakeholders to assess the highway implications of development proposals and coordinate the delivery of related highway schemes. You will have responsibility for the negotiation of section 38 and 278 agreements, and will be required to providing evidence at Public Inquiries.
