The focus on sustainable travel measures has been brought into sharp focus in response to the current pandemic and as such the City needs to move quickly and agilely.
Bristol sits within a strong economic area, working with its neighbouring cities and towns to maximise economic growth through the West of England Combined Authority, West of England Local Enterprise Partnership.
Bristol continues to punch above its weight nationally growing its economy by nearly 20% (Gross Value Added) between 2009 and 2014 Bristol’s economy, second only to London.
We are seeking to appoint a Project Manager, to work in the Transport Service, taking a leading role in the delivery of the above plans.
You will be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams, both within the Council, but more widely within the sub-region, as well. You will lead, and work closely, with range of experts and specialists e.g. transport planners, engineers, modellers, consultants to ensure positive outcomes in in delivering a healthier Bristol.
You will be responsible managing relationships, expectations and outcomes, not only internally with colleagues and experts, but externally with businesses, stakeholders, public, interest groups, politicians and local councillors.
