Senior Policy Officer - Sustainable Transport
Salary: £60,587 - £66,590 per year
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior policy officer working on strategic transport policy to join the Strategic Policy, Planning and Performance Directorate of the Government of Jersey. The post is based in the sustainability and foresight team. The role of the team is to help government to navigate challenges over the long-term. The post will provide policy coordination and focus for implementation of the sustainable transport policy including coordination of the sustainable transport implementation board.
The role will lead on strategy and policy development including preparing business cases and commissioning projects to meet the challenge of transitioning to a low carbon future by reducing emissions from all forms of transport. Working closely with the operations and transport group in the Growth, Housing and Environment Directorate who manage infrastructure improvements, plus a wide range of stakeholders across a range of policy areas, the post will create networks, manage partnerships and develop innovative programmes to reduce transport emissions.
The successful candidate will possess experience of strategic transport policy issues and project management skills to develop and co-ordinate the efficient delivery of the sustainable transport policy. For an informal discussion please contact Fiona Glover by email [email protected].
