TRANSPORT PLANNER / MODELLER
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join a large and expanding transport planning team in our client's North West Office.
Our client is keen to recruit an individual who has around one to four years experience working with public and private sector clients. You will have some experience on one or more of the strategic modelling programmes such as SATURN, VISUM, CUBE Voyager, EMME-2/3 etc., as well as highway scheme appraisal / economic modelling software including COBA, QUADRO and TUBA. It would be an advantage to have used micro-simulation software such as PARAMICS or VISSIM.Excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Access, will be an advantage.
The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of transport modelling theory and methods, data collection, analytical techniques and appraisal methods. You should have a clear understanding of UK Government transport planning policies and guidance, including WebTAG and DMRB.
You should have a relevant degree qualification, and although not essential, a Masters and working towards Chartered status would be desirable.
Our client will offer excellent career prospects to an enthusiastic and energetic person. The basic salary on offer is competitive, and likely to be in the range of £26-35,000 p.a., together with an attractive benefits package.
