A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Transport Modeller to join a large and expanding transport planning team in our client's North West Office. Our client is keen to recruit an individual who has a minimum four years experience working with public and private sector clients. You will have some experience on one or more of the strategic modelling programmes such as SATURN, VISUM, CUBE Voyager, EMME etc. and, ideally, some experience in highway scheme appraisal / economic modelling software such as COBA, QUADRO and/or TUBA. It would be an advantage to have used micro-simulation software such as PARAMICS or VISSIM, but this is not essential.

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of transport modelling theory and methods, data collection, analytical techniques and appraisal methods. You should be highly numerate with strong problem solving skills, and able to work with minimum supervision.

You should have a relevant degree qualification, and although not essential, a Masters and working towards Chartered status would be desirable.

The opportunity to work on overseas projects is possible, including the possibility of an overseas posting at a later stage. The basic salary on offer is competitive, and likely to be in the range of £36-42,000 p.a., together with an attractive benefits package.
