An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Principal Transport Planner / Modeller has arisen with our client in the North West. This will ideally suit a person who is looking for a varied and challenging project workload, a broad base of clients to work with, and an excellent opportunity to progress their career.

The successful candidate will have considerable experience working with public and private sector clients. You will have some experience on one or more of the strategic modelling programmes such as SATURN, CUBE Voyager, TRIPS and EMME, and micro-simulation software such as PARAMICS or VISSIM. You will have a comprehensive knowledge of transport modelling theory and methods, data collection, analytical techniques and appraisal methods. The ability to advise on the design of modelling studies, their management and delivery is essential.

Strong leadership and team management skills are needed. The role includes responsibility for mentoring and coaching junior members of the team, to develop their knowledge and career paths. Candidates should have a relevant degree. Chartered status is preferred and an M.Sc in addition is desirable, but not essential.

This role will provide excellent career prospects for a hardworking and flexible individual. On offer is a competitive basic salary based upon qualifications and experience, probably in the range of £45-55,000 p.a., with an excellent package of flexible benefits.
