Applications are invited for this exciting career opportunity, managing day to day operational delivery of Islington Councils estate parking control service.

The Estate Parking Section is a small, busy team within Central Operational Services, in the councils Department of Housing and Adult Social Services. The team co-ordinate all aspects of estate parking management, covering a wide-range of duties. Responsibilities include contract administration and monitoring, investigating and responding to parking appeals, co-ordinating signage and ground markings maintenance and repairs, managing the estate abandoned vehicle removal service, maintaining a public enquiry service and producing performance indicators.

The role requires practical understanding of service delivery in a social housing context, with high standards of customer care. Applicants will have experience of local authority staff supervision, with strong IT and communication skills. You will have managed a parking control and enforcement service or contract, with all relevant leadership abilities.

We are looking for someone who will be creatively and enthusiastically involved in developing the estate parking control service, in line with the council’s customer transformation objectives.

This is a Fixed Term post until 1st February 2019, to cover a vacancy due to the normal post holder’s secondment. The workplace is on Upper Street, in central Islington.
