The Post
Brent’s Parking Service delivers parking enforcement, parking appeals, permits, cashless parking, pay and display and car park services across the borough. Responsible for the effective client management of the outsourced £25m Parking Services contract, two enforcement agent contracts and the delivery of an in house Notice Processing team we need an experienced parking manager to deliver quality outcomes to our residents and elected Members, within agreed budget parameters. Reporting directly to the Head of Parking and Lighting, you will manage 3 staff and be responsible for a team of 19. You will work closely with both the Parking Contractor and internal staff to deliver Member priorities, ensure the delivery of both outsourced and in house services to required standards and continuously work to improve the parking service offer.

The Person
An experienced parking professional with excellent contract management, people and stakeholder management skills. You will have excellent analytical skills, experience of managing budgets, improving services and managing a team, and comfortable communicating with a wide range of senior stakeholders. A sound knowledge of the statutory legal framework for civil enforcement of parking and traffic offences, the statutory parking appeals process, local authority parking and traffic management policies, and developments within the parking sector are essential.
