You’ll play a critical role in the delivery of the West End Project, the single largest public realm and transport investment that Camden has ever proposed and the Council’s highest priority major project.
In this role, you will provide support and assistance to the West End Project Manager in all aspects of their role including: monitoring and reporting on project and financial performance; document control; maintaining the project log and risk register; and commissioning and managing consultants for specialist support. The role will require liaison with all members of the West End Project team, internal stakeholders, Transport for London and the Business Improvement Districts. Alongside this, you’ll be required to build excellent relationships and work in partnership with the engagement officer and project manager.

You will hold a certificate or equivalent in a subject related to transport planning / traffic engineering – alternatively you’ll have different qualifications with the ability to successfully demonstrate experience in this or related work.
With proven ability to build relationships; you’ll have vast experience of partnership working and stakeholder management to achieve the strategic objectives of the participating organisations. You’ll possess experience of design and project management for schemes of significant size, value and complexity including budget management.
To contribute towards an improved service, you’ll need a broad understanding of the key responsibilities and issues facing local government and have a clear understanding of highway design in an urban environment including design criteria, specifications and standards. Your success depends on having a can-do attitude, collaborative working style, and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to express complex information accurately and concisely.
