Integrated & Smart Travel – Programme Director (Fixed Term Contract until March 2020) – c.£100,000
Transport for the North (TfN) has been formed as part of the strategic response to the changing transport and infrastructure needs of the whole of the North of England. It incorporates the city regions of Hull, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield with a vision to better connect these cities and wider regional towns and cities, to drive better connectivity, economic growth and better opportunity for all. It is crystal clear that connecting the North can ensure that the region is greater than the sum of their parts.
This is where you come in as we seek a leading role for the Integrated & Smart Travel work stream – Programme Director. This role will shape and lead an ambitious £150m+ programme to transform transport information, ticketing and payments across the North of England. This is a critical role for us as we are seeking an experienced programme director who not only understands information, ticketing and payment technologies but can set the direction for this £150m+ programme and ensure its delivery. Key to achieving this will be developing robust business cases, managing commercial agreements, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, clear customer deliverables, and ensuring value for money.
