Here, in the City, we are also absolutely committed to reducing road danger whilst maximising the efficiency of our highway network. All this is part of our determined effort to deliver a built environment and transport strategy that supports the Square Mile in remaining the world’s leading business city. To achieve this we have restructured our City Transportation service and created several genuine vacancies for managers with the passion and flare to drive excellence across our services.

We intend to be the world no 1 city for business and finance in 2036. To do this we are listening to our stakeholders and investing in our built environment. Working with colleagues across London, we need you, your imagination, experience and vision to drive down casualties on City roads.

 

You will lead a small team of award winning road safety practitioners. The work will involve engaging with businesses, the City of London Police, Tfl and other partners in developing a programme of intelligence based measures to improve road safety in the City. Safety audits, engineering solutions, education and training will play a key role in your work as will introducing a robust approach to programme evaluation. In addition you will lead on a programme of behavioural change measures to deliver a more sustainable travel environment.
