London TravelWatch is the statutory watchdog for transport users in and around the capital. We champion their interests through representation, consultation, investigation, monitoring and by taking every opportunity to press for a better travel experience for all.

You will be expected to have a detailed knowledge of current public transport and interchange issues, particularly in relation to rail and the underground, together with a good understanding of generic transport policy, economics, operations and consumer issues. You will be aware of what passengers need whilst also understanding the key issues facing operators. Essential to this role is your ability to conduct impact analyses of service provision and proposals such as timetable and route changes, train planning, franchising and tendering of services, fares and ticketing.

To succeed you will need to be an experienced and highly effective communicator providing professional support to members and staff to inform our policy making. Confident and committed to service excellence, you will have a major input to national and local consultations and will be required to make key representations to external stakeholders.
