We are recruiting for two Grade 7 analysts and expect further posts to emerge soon. We are keen to hear from professional analysts with proven expertise in economics, statistics, social science, operational research and transport modelling. Recent expertise in a transport analysis post would be useful.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Applying analytical expertise to the development of strategy, including in areas where the strategic context is complex or evolving, or where the data is challenging;
  • Applying deep professional expertise to deliver robust analysis, project managing the work to ensure it is delivered to expectations;
  • Undertaking or commissioning high quality research involving the development of the evidence base and analysis to support policy creation and progression;
  • Interpreting results effectively and conveying impactful analysis to influence senior decision makers;
  • Working with a range of stakeholders across boundaries (cross-government and/or with delivery partners), building collaborative working relationships;
  • Able to lead, inspire and motivate own team to undertake complex and challenging analytical work, providing clear direction in line with corporate strategy.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need to have Substantial experience working within your professional field, whether in economics, statistics, operational research, transport modelling or quantitative social science. You are a confident person who enjoys building solid working relationships at all levels. We are looking for you to bring strong leadership skills to this role with the ability to coach and mentor your team and drive them to the next level. You will thrive managing a varied and challenging workload and welcome autonomy to your role.
