Strategic Development Manager/Town Planner

Part Time - 2 Days Per Week

Salary - £20,000+ Dependent on experience

We are recruiting a Part-time Strategic Development Manager/Town Planner to join our team in Oxford for 2 days per week.  

Oxfordshire needs to accommodate more housing; Oxford’s unmet housing needs will be provided in neighboring districts - it is essential that this housing is provided to meet the needs for sustainable transport - and buses in particular.

We require a suitably qualified Town Planner to identify both strategic and local planning development opportunities and ensure appropriate infrastructure, developer contributions, CIL and public transport provision is provided in these new developments.

The role will require the successful candidate to successfully manage & develop partnerships that enable successful delivery of the long term strategy, develop and maintain constructive relationships between the business and key stakeholders – including Local Authorities, Central Government, business and industrial sectors, to identify both strategic and local planning development opportunities, to develop funding applications and to be the day-to-day link between operations, local and regional groups and support the business strategy.   You will also liaise with other group company colleagues.

Successful applicants will have Degree level education in Planning, Transport and/or Local Economic Development, excellent interpersonal skills, confidentiality and tact along with previous experience working with Local Authorities and other public institutions.    You will have an excellent level of IT literacy along with good organisational and administration skills and self-motivation along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work within deadlines.
