An ambitious Principal Transport Planner is required to join our client's transport planning team in their very well located Birmingham office. The office is multi-diciplined, and the project work is challenging, varied, and very interesting.

Candidates should be degree qualified in a relevant discipline, and ideally hold membership of a professional body. You will be skilled in the production and management of transport assessments for mixed-use, retail, commercial and residential developments. Also, travel planning advice to developers, strategic land use appraisals, strategic masterplanning advice for local authorities, developers and government agencies on key strategic development schemes. The ability to provide high quality advice to clients on transportation matters and provide solutions is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for one of our client's transport planning teams, which will include project management, delivering projects within timescale, budget constraints and quality expectations, financial management, and assisting with business development.

Excellent written English and oral communication skills are essential.

The position offers excellent prospects to an ambitious person looking to progress their career with a major company. The basic salary for the post is negotiable, but expected to be in the range of £45-54,000 p.a., plus our client will offer a very attractive range of flexible benefits.
