A superb opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join our client's rapidly expanding office in West Yorkshire. They are a very well established business with multiple offices, and with one of the best reputations in the industry.

Candidates must have a good understanding of the transport issues associated with development planning. Experience of preparing and delivering Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and access appraisals of land use development studies is required. You will be numerate with good technical report writing and data analysis skills, and possess outstanding verbal and oral communications when advising and updating the clients. Contributing to identifying new client opportunities and bid / tendering work will be encouraged.

Experience should have been gained in the use of computer software such as ARCADY, PICADY,TRANSYT and/or LinSig. Candidates should be reasonably proficient with MS applications. Any knowledge of microsimulation using VISSIM would be helpful, but this is not essential.

A degree in a related subject is required, and an M.Sc or further transport planning or relevant post graduate qualifications in addition is desirable, but again, this is not essential.  

Prospects to progress are excellent as the office is young and expanding quite rapidly. The basic salary is negotiable, but probably in the region of £27-35,000 p.a., depending on experience, together with a comprehensive and very attractive benefits package in which hard work is very well rewarded in the form of bonuses.
