East Midlands Councils supports strategic infrastructure and economic growth across the region through its input to initiatives and programmes such as Midlands Connect, HS2 and its emerging growth strategy, rail franchising and the upgrade and electrification of the Midland Mainline.
In bringing together the nine Local Transport Authorities in the region, Transport for the East Midlands (TFEM) leads on strategic infrastructure and economic growth across the region. This exciting opportunity is for a dynamic and talented Programme Manager to co-ordinate and lead the delivery of the region’s strategic transport priorities including the above-mentioned high-profile initiatives and programmes.
To be effective in this role a good working knowledge and experience of transport policy development is essential together with highly developed project and programme management skills. A proven track record of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships within a political environment is also key.
