Grade L £41,216 per annum
Location: Leeds City Centre (currently working remotely)
Permanent full time 37 hours per week

West Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Personalised Transport Manager in our Transport Operations Directorate within our Mobility Services Team. You will lead our Door to Door, Special Educational Needs (SEN), and Monitoring teams who are people and community focussed and deliver fantastic customer service and service delivery across the region.

It is an exciting time to join the Combined Authority, as during 2021 we will become a Mayoral Combined Authority, and a £1.8bn devolution deal has been secured for West Yorkshire as part of this.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Mobility Services, your key responsibilities will include:

• Management control and co-ordination for the Door to Door and Special Educational Needs (SEN) Transport team and Monitoring team in line with Combined Authority’s corporate policies and procedures
• Responsible for strategy development and driving change to create greater efficiencies in the Door to Door and SEN Transport teams.
• The development of the Monitoring team

About you

You will have the following key skills, attributes and experience but not be limited to:

• Practical experience of successfully leading teams in this environment
• Holds a Transport degree, professional qualification or relevant demonstrable practical experience in SEN or Door to Door (AccessBus) type services
• Experience with passenger transport legislation and contract management
• Strong influencing and conflict resolution skills and the ability to apply them building and leading a successful team
• Financial and analytical skills regarding budgets
• Good communication and IT skills
