This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of key debates about the future of urban transport in the UK as we are seeking to appoint a Researcher, based at our offices in Leeds.
The Urban Transport Group represents the strategic transport authorities for the seven largest city regions in England. We make the case for the funding and powers our members need to improve urban transport;
we provide thought leadership for the sector; and we are the leading network for urban transport professionals in the public sector.
Working closely with senior staff, the successful candidate will produce authoritative and influential briefings
and reports, commission and manage consultancy projects, and disseminate our work by organising, and participating in, external events. Over time, we expect the post-holder to take responsibility for developing individual areas of our work.
We are looking for someone with an interest in public policy, excellent communication skills, project management experience and good understanding of research methods. You will also be able to grasp new subjects quickly and show the potential to become an expert in one or more of our areas of activity.
