Working within the Growth and Development team in the County Council’s Growth and Economy Service, you will lead and manage the County Councils Transport Assessment team across the county.
Developments in the County provide a complex range of off-site and on-site transport issues to address, so you will need to bring significant experience in transport assessment, master planning, and the planning of major development projects, together with a track record of successful negotiation in securing transport-related planning obligations.
In addition to your strong technical and negotiation skills, you will need to work closely with partners including District Councils, a variety of teams from across the County Council, Highways Agency, and public transport operators. Close working with elected members is also a key element of the role so strong communication skills, both speaking and in writing, are important attributes.
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent in a transport-related discipline as well as knowledge of development-related transport planning and policy, transport assessment techniques, and transport modelling.
