About the role
Haringey Council’s vision for the future is built on growth – in housing and jobs – and on helping our residents and businesses take advantage of that growth. Our vision is also clear that the majority of that growth will take place in our priority regeneration areas of Tottenham and Wood Green.
Transport can play a key role in delivering this growth. The Council is working with partners to deliver investment in public transport infrastructure such as through Crossrail 2. We are developing a new transport strategy to support the Council’s vision as well as setting out plans for more cycling and walking and the development of parking policy.
About you
Working within the Planning service we are seeking ambitious and talented transport planning professional to join its team. As a Council we are committed to personal growth and development, flexible working and IT infrastructure enabling access anywhere. We are able to accommodate those looking for flexible working opportunities. We are looking for a qualified transport planner who has experience of a range of transportation related projects including assessing the highway and transport implications of development proposals and associated highway agreements. You should also have experience of implementing transport policy and managing project delivery.
