Our client is expanding their demand forecasting team in Sydney resulting in a superb opportunity for a Senior Transport Modeller to join them. You will work on some of the largest and most innovative projects in Australia and elsewhere.

Appropriately degree qualified, you will ideally have around five to ten years consultancy experience demonstrating technical understanding and broad expertise in the development, application and documentation of multi-modal modelling and demand modelling. Strong analytical skills are needed in model estimate techniques, and also with transportation planning applications.

You will have extensive experience of travel demand modelling software, on platforms such as CUBE or EMME, and you will be an expert in MS Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint. Some expertise in macro modelling software such as VISUM, and of industry standard micro-simulation software would be an advantage. A knowledge of programming languages, for example GISDK or Cube/TP+, would be useful, but not essential.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, when presenting complex information to technical and non-technical clients and colleagues. Project management experience of transport modelling and / or scheme appraisal studies, and managing teams at a distance, would be helpful.

This presents a fantastic opening for an ambitious individual. Our client will offer a competitive salary depending on experience, but it is likely to be in the range of AUD 90-120,000 p.a., with an additional package of benefits including full relocation assistance and visa sponsorship.
