Principal Transport and Development Planner - Highways and Waste
Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week
Starting salary - £37,547 per annum
Location – Ashford Highway Depot
An exciting and challenging position has become available in East Kent for a Principal Transport and Development Planner.
You will be the lead officer within two Districts primarily dealing with the implementation of the transport strategies and the highway projects within the Infrastructure delivery plan.
You will be working closely with external stakeholders and provide engagement with the wider community to ensure that private sector funding in transport infrastructure is maximised and targeted to ensure that it provides the most effective outcomes.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
You will need to ensure that complaints and enquiries are handled in line with KCC procedures and maintain high customer service and standards. You will ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
You will be educated to NVQ Level 5 or equivalent in a Planning or Transport Discipline and will line manage Senior Transport Development Planners and Development Planners.
