An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Principal Transport Planner has arisen in West Yorkshire to join our client, an international multi-disciplinary firm of consultants. This will ideally suit the candidate who is looking to further their career with a varied workload and broad client base.

The successful candidate will have broad transport planning experience working with public and private sector clients, and have strong project management skills, able to deliver major transport planning projects to quality standards, on time, and within budget. You will also be involved in developing technical and financial proposals on new projects, and providing specific technical leadership.

You will have some experience on one or more of the strategic modelling programmes such as SATURN, VISUM, CUBE Voyager, TRIPS or EMME.

Strong leadership and team management skills are needed, including workload supervision and supporting and mentoring junior staff members.

In addition, our client seeks a person able to present to large audiences, capable of managing medium sized projects, and capable of producing competitive proposals. Team management experience is essential.

Candidates should have a relevant degree. Chartered status is preferred, and an M.Sc in addition is desirable, but not essential.

This role will provide excellent career prospects for a hardworking and flexible individual. On offer is a competitive basic salary based upon qualifications and experience, probably in the range of £42-52,000 p.a. plus an excellent package of flexible benefits.
