A challenging and varied opportunity for a Senior Transport Planner is now available with our client, a multi disciplinary consultant with a broad range of private and public sector projects.

The ideal person will have a strong technical base in transport planning, and be capable in one or more of the following areas :-

Transport Policy and Strategy
Feasibility Studies
Sustainable Travel
Scheme Development
Business Cases

Some project management experience would be helpful, and the role will involve working closer with  clients, and taking on greater responsibility for project direction. It will also enable you to gain further experience in proposal writing, and customer and project management.

A relevant degree is essential, and an M.Sc in Transport Planning in addition would be desirable, as would Chartered status, although these are not mandatory.

Candidates should be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suit, particularly Word and Excel, and other relevant software programmes. A clear understanding of WebTAG and DMRB is essential, and experience of working with both private and public sector clients is desirable.

This position offers excellent career prospects for an ambitious individual. The base salary is negotiable, based upon qualifications and experience, but probably in the range of £34-40,000 p.a., with flexible working, and an excellent package of benefits and choices.
