Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a transport planner with Transport Assessment experience to fulfil a key role supporting Cambridgeshire’s exciting growth agenda.

As a Senior Transport Planner within the Transport Assessment Team (Growth and Economy Service) you will assess the transport impacts and shape transport solutions for a range of new developments across the county - from world leading research facilities to major employment sites and new communities.

Supporting this growth requires innovative, transport solutions. This process begins with a comprehensive, objective assessment of development transport impacts:

The successful candidate will therefore demonstrate:

• Experience in Transport Assessments
• Master planning for major developments
• Negotiation skills
• A track record in securing transport funding through planning

The role will require close dialogue with developers and their agents and necessitate strong partnership working with District Councils, a variety of teams from across the County Council, Highways England, public transport operators and other key stakeholders.

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent in a transport-related discipline as well as knowledge of development-related transport planning and policy, transport assessment techniques, and transport modelling.
