Do you want to make a positive difference to the lives of others?
Hampshire County Council has been successful in securing significant capital investment and is seeking to grow its transport team to deliver even better outcomes for the residents and businesses of Hampshire. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to help us continue to achieve. If you want to help shape the future of our communities or simply want to get on and identify what future transport improvements are required, then we may have the right opportunity for you.
We now have a range of vacancies, within our teams:-
In our Traded Services Team we have a vacancy for a Transport Planner.
In our Transport Planning Team we have vacancies for Senior Transport Planners (2 roles available) and Transport Planner.
Each vacancy provides different opportunities: Traded Services is a growing part of our business where the work you can get involved in is varied and includes assessments in support of planning applications, travel planning, development of new transport policies, and local schemes – either in a direct delivery, or client management role. Our Transport Planning team also offers a varied work load which seeks to provide access to work, employment and leisure activities leading to a sustainable and vibrant local economy and making Hampshire a great place to live, work and enjoy.
Hampshire offers a great work life balance. It is therefore no surprise that a wide range of development is planned delivering new housing and communities including two proposed Garden Towns. It is also one of the most productive parts of the UK but with its fair share of transport challenges to overcome to deliver our Corporate Strategy. We are continuing to transform and innovate to improve the delivery of local transport services within a tough financial climate.
Hampshire County Council is a flexible employer interested in making the most of your skills, and we will also invest in you through our internal development programmes and training.
Our Organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults. We expect all employees, workers and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment.
