SENIOR TRANSPORT PLANNER
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join the busy transport planning team in their North West office. This multi-disciplinary consulting firm offers a range of exciting and challenging projects to the successful candidate.
You will ideally have at least four years experience in a post graduate transport planning role, and be able to demonstrate excellent reporting writing and oral communication skills, as well as having experience with industry standard transportation software such as Junctions 9 (ARCADY, PICADY) LinSig, TRANSYT, and/or TRICS etc. Proficiency in MS Applications will be an advantage.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team who work on a wide range of projects that involve strategy development planning, scheme appraisals, transport policy, smarter choices and master planning. Experience with mentoring and developing the junior members of the team to reach their full potential is needed, as is a willingness to assist senior management with business development.
Candidates should have a degree in a relevant subject. An M.Sc in addition would be a bonus, as would membership of a professional institute.
The career development prospects for the successful candidate are excellent, as there will be plenty of scope and encouragement to continue to develop your existing knowledge and skills. The basic salary is competitive, and depending on experience is likely to be in the region of £38-45,000 p.a., with an attractive, flexible benefits package.
