An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Transport Modeller to join a well established team based in SW England. They offer great variety and excellent career prospects with the opportunity to work on a diverse workload from a broad client base.

Our client is keen to recruit an individual who has a minimum four years experience, ideally working with public and private sector clients. You will have gained considerable experience on one or more of the strategic modelling packages, either SATURN or VISUM, or one of the micro-simulation packages, VISSIM or PARAMICS.

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of transport modelling theory and methods, data collection, analytical techniques and appraisal methods, with the ability to build, calibrate and validate models. You should be highly numerate with strong problem solving skills, and able to work with minimum supervision.

In the role, you will act as Task Leader on modelling projects, and be able to lead small project teams  delivering to timescales, budget and technical quality. The work will include the production of high quality technical reports and client proposals.

You will have a relevant degree qualification, and although not essential, a Masters and working towards Chartered status would be desirable.

Our client will offer excellent career prospects to an enthusiastic and energetic person. The basic salary on offer is competitive, and likely to be in the range of £35-44,000 p.a., together with an attractive benefits package.
